Taylor Tabb

I like building things that makes you feel something. Usually curiosity, sometimes joy, occasionally “wait… what?” My background is a mix of mechanical engineering and human-computer interaction, with a sprinkle of advertising creative.

I’ve built edible data storage systems, wearable electronics, and experiments around AI and humanity. I teach Wild Ways of Making at Stanford’s d.school, and my research has been published at places like CHI and DIS. And if you watch baking shows, you might have seen me on Baking Impossible (yes, that Netflix baking/robotics show).

I’m currently working under my studio, SPAK!, but in past lives I led future-of-fabrication work at Accenture Labs and made joyful engineered experiences at Deeplocal—like art robots for Google and confetti cannons for the NFL.

If you’ve got a wild idea, an oddportunity, or just want to say hi, drop me a note below!
