ME, as a clock — April 10
I wondered: what If if instead of a clock telling me the time, I could tell me the time? So Me, As A Clock, was born. You can make your own version with You, As A Clock, using the code in this repo. This also might be art— I'm not totally sure! Check out a demo of it here, and follow along after the break to make your own here.
DimensHand — April 5
Ever wanted to measure something but didn’t have a ruler? Same, pretty much all the time. This idea has been percolating for a couple years, but I never really paid any attention to it. Being stuck indoors, though, has brought to life DimensHand as temporary tattoos to help me (or you!) memorize the dimensions of your hands. Never again will I wonder “wait how big is my iPhone screen?” For I can just measure it with my pointer finger. Maybe a tutorial is forthcoming.
CONFERENCE CALL‘N CRUNCH — March 30
This is computer installed into a cereal box full of Cap’n Crunch. Complete with speakers, camera, and microphone, and a battery pack. Able to take video calls from anywhere with Wifi, but optimized for the breakfast table. Sort of psuedo-speculative design? I think?
Scrubber — March 24
Your hand-washing soundtrack— Check out more at deeplocal.com/scrubber. This project presented new and interesting challenges due to all of us working from home… so Scrubber was fabricated in home makerspaces (i.e. my living room). Scrubber should be attributed to my employer, Deeplocal.
